Atlanta's sensation Lil Nas X recently released an exclusive behind-the-scenes insight for the music video of his groundbreaking single "Industry Baby" with director Christian Breslauer for Vevo. Which reveals every hidden reference and new information regarding the making of their iconic "Industry Baby".

The visuals for "Industry Baby" takes place within the fictitious Montero State Prison; where wherein Lil Nas X is sentenced to five years in prison for being gay. The video pays homage to the 1994 film The Shawshank Redemption and the 1979 film Escape from Alcatraz. It was choreographed by Sean Bankhead, with art director Bryson Pintardr. The video also features rapper and collaborator "Jack Harlow", Teen Wolf star "Colton Haynes" as a security guard, and model "Vanessa Buchholz" as a prison guard; the video also incorporates 20 dancers, 9 prison guards and 29 prisoners.

The behind-the-scenes video sees Lil Nas X explaining the inspiration and controversy surrounding making the song's video. He also discusses personal items he used on the set, improvised choreography and the most uncomfortable scenes to film with co-star Jack Harlow.

Regarding the making of the "Industry Baby" video, Lil Nas X said ", By now the world knows that the controversial "INDUSTRY BABY" is a high water mark video, an eye-popper with a great storyline that also makes a valuable statement. As usual, Footnotes gets behind the creative process of the shoot, talks to those in charge, and delivers insights into the artist's message. Of the provocative nude shower scene, LNX says that "he wanted the visuals to go to a place people would least expect me to go, an overly masculine place, and make it gay af." He also wanted the video to help fans visualize the theme of "breaking free from the shackles society places on you." Yep, some videos are more than mere entertainment. Find out about those Grammys in the jail cell, the 'Shawshank Redemption' influence, and the superstar twerking in front of Jack Harlow. All the answers await".

To date, "Industry Baby" has gone 2× Platinum in the US charts, as well as also going Platinum in a further six countries. It is the third single from Lil Nas X's debut studio album, Montero.
